Little Weed is a charming book that everyone can relate to and learn from. It touches a part of your soul you may not have even realized needed healing. It pulls you in and gives you hope, teaching us how to see beyond our sometimes grim outlook. In her own unassuming way, Little Weed opens our eyes to a love we may not have known was there, but that has been watching out for and taking care of us even in our darkest of times.
Loved this book. Loved the analogy of the little weed, the sidewalk, the garden, almond tree and the Gardener. I gave the book to my three daughters to use as a tool to help their children understand where their true identity should come from-their Creator and not the world or even themselves. This book is a story of how we see ourselves through the world and our own eyes and how we are transformed when we see ourselves as our heavenly Father does giving us value and purpose.
This is a little book with a BIG PUNCH! It is something that All ages can relate to and enjoy on many different levels. This is one of those little treasures that, once you read it, you will want to share it with everyone else! I have already shared it with at least half a dozen people! I saw myself in the story, felt encouraged, understood and inspired to plug into my own potential and not let it become buried in the rush of everyday life, or the mutterings of naysayers that surround each and every one of us. You too, will be glad for purchasing this book- for it brings with it many nougats of truth that will be a continuing source of encouragement and inspiration to revisit often.
Little Weed is a powerful little book. The book begins with the story of Little Weed who grows up in the cold city sidewalk, always yearning to be like one of the flowers in the Master's Garden across the way. We feel a connection with Little Weed, understanding her to the point of feeling that her story is our own personal life's story. The Author then "unpacks" the story of Little Weed and reveals to us our own self-rejection and it's source. Finally, our eyes are opened to the universal truth that we are all "Little Weeds" in a side-walk world, but that is not really our identity. Little Weed pulls back the veil that has kept us in the dark about who we really are. We are loved! A fantastic, insightful book that you will want to give to all your family!
